Description Working with Human Resources Director and Firm Human Resources Management team, provides service-oriented administrative support of a complex and confidential nature. Primary responsibilities include coordinating departmental projects through completion, scheduling, preparing for and managing meetings and conferences, entering employee data and maintaining employee records in firm HRIS, coordinating the logistics of employee professional development training programs, and coordinating various aspects of firm initiatives, including participation in FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For®.
Requirements 1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Experience: Minimum of five years administrative experience in a professional services environment, preferably in a law firm. Human Resources experience helpful. Must be proficient with MS Office Suite and EMF. Human Resources data base experience preferred. 3. Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to strictly maintain the confidentiality of the department’s work; strong written and verbal communication skills; pleasant phone manner; strong organizational skills; excellent word processing skills, and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation, and use of grammar must be of high quality. Ability to work well independently and exercise good judgment when dealing with confidential matters. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload, and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above, with or without reasonable accommodation.
