/Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable/


  • Ensure the Rock Hill Product Company internal and external vendors are paid timely and accurately for all purchases. Bring to a favorable resolution all vendor issues. Daily reconciliations of accounts and management of bank transactions.


  • Lead AP team in day to day activities including invoice processing and statement reconciliation

  • Process invoices for inventory and expenses using applicable ERP and database systems

o Complete 3-way match accounting process by ensuring purchase order is received and/or invoice is approved before invoice is processed

  • Point of contact for all banks, including but not limited to Nordea Bank and Deutsche Bank

  • Prepare checks, wires, ACH and Supply Chain Finance payments

o Reconcile payments and upload each to the respective banks

o Apply payments accurately in the ERP system and validate outstanding balances

o Annual spend $60M+

  • Lead processes for intercompany invoice payments and reconciliations of sister company invoices to the Rock Hill Product Company monthly to ensure corporate deadlines for intercompany matching are met

o Annual spend $31M

  • Daily reconciliation and resolution of accounts payable, intercompany and purchase liability sub ledgers to the general ledger

  • Prepare and analyze purchase price variance transactions daily

o Ensure pricing on invoices is correct

o Monthly analysis with explanations distributed to management

  • Work with SQA team and vendors on product returns

o Process all billing rejects

  • Resolve any and all discrepancies with vendors efficiently and effectively

  • Monthly review outstanding checks and work with vendors as needed to resolve any open checks

  • Support the maintenance of the ERP systems and databases

  • Other administrative duties as needed including sorting and distributing mail

    • Knowledge and Skills*
  • 5+ years of accounts payable and general accounting experience required

  • Associates degree and/or equivalent experience

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Provide support to both external and internal customers

  • Strong team player attitude

  • Ability to analyze documents and make sound business decisions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Able to work in a team environment, encouraging collaboration

  • Open to change and willing to initiate process improvements
