Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager Job Summary Supervises the day-to-day activities and operations of the accounts receivable team. Guides personnel in procedures and data entry. Monitors and maintains a high level of productivity and quality of work. Accurately tracks and records revenue transactions for multiple entities. Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager Essential Job Functions 1. Reconcile and balance cash daily. 2. Monitors the work of a team of accounts receivable clerks that verify and apply payments received and note deductions on accounts. 3. Insure implementation of proper controls and maintain accuracy of accounts receivable system. Review, research and correct errors. Ensure requirements and procedures for service, volume and efficiency are met. 4. Review and post Payment Journals that consist of lockbox deposits, wires, ACH payments, and credit card payments. 5. Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager Posts and reconciles AR related General Ledger Journal Entries. 6. Researches discrepancies or missing payments. 7. Answer customer invoicing inquiries and contact other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems or customer disputes. 8. Assist with annual audit providing information and reports to internal/external auditors. 9. Supervises the accounts receivable staff, including hiring, training, employee relations and the scheduling and distribution of work load. 10. Compile data in an effort to understand, document and identify solutions for deficiencies in our current cash applications processes and systems. 11. Perform monthly close process. Minimum Requirements (to perform this job at a satisfactory level) Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
4+ years supervisory and full-cycle accounts receivable experience.
Previous experience with cash application and reconciliation of AR.
Must be dependable with the ability to work well under pressure and with a high level of accuracy.
Must be detail oriented, a self-motivated team player and have excellent customer service skills.
