Job Description

Responsible and accountable for all Shop QRC operations. Responsible for growing the business in the service center meeting the company long range planning, ensuring all facility performance goals are met, recommends and implements operating policies and procedures (Safety, monthly and yearly shop budgets for expenditures, On Time Delivery, performance goals and shop profitability, etc.)

Provides and controls cost budget and profitability of the service center.

Be responsible for P&L for the Pro Shop.

Cooperate close with strategic accounts.

Controls prices for S/R jobs to ensure the prime profit margin goals are achieved, as well as controls variances and operational cost to achieve bottom-line margin goals in the service center and the OTD.

Take a lead role in the overall Safety of all QRC shop and field operations to ensure that all Corporate Safety requirements are met. Be responsible for all site safety requirements including Local Programs and ensure training programs are implemented.

Performs inspections for safety conformance; direct investigations of accidents/injuries and property damage; recommend appropriate action including discipline and procedural changes, Maintains a safe and productive working environment for department personnel

Interfaces with vendors, sales, and engineering personnel to resolve equipment problems and improve quality of products

Develop and support operating budget; participate in identifying personnel and capital equipment needs; forecast of additional funds needed for vehicles, equipment, materials, and supplies; administer the approved budget; monitor and approve expenditures.

Analyze operating records and costs; prepare, maintain, and present routine reports and other special reports on operation and administration as requested.

Direct and participate in a variety of personnel actions including performance evaluations, selections, dismissals, transfers, and disciplinary measures. Perform all mid-year and end of year PFP s in a timely manner. Ensure all employees are judged fairly and have realistic performance goals and are held accountable for their performance. Develop staff to upgrade supervisory ability and increase floor leadership

Drive the Quality Management Process, and the Continuous Improvement Process throughout all shop operations.

Properly schedules all shop operations in order to achieve On Time Delivery and Customer Satisfaction Goals. Review and prioritize daily work assignments and work reports; adjust planning schedules as needed; advise supervisors of scheduling problems, priorities, and other concerns regarding each shop activities.

Identify critical procedures in the equipment repair process and make sure that they are written and that all shop employees have copies and are held accountable for following these procedures. Initiate the proper training on these procedures when necessary. Reviews new or updated production processes and/or test procedures

Make sure lead people in the machine shop, assembly shop, and QRC have relayed to all employees the quoted labor hours associated with the work they are performing on a daily basis. Hold direct reports accountable for their performance. Inspect the work of subordinate personnel, Responsible for timely and accurate reviewed and approval of direct reports timesheets.

Ensure that the Personnel is properly qualified on all pertinent ITT Procedures.

Oversee all scheduling of shop direct and indirect labor hours. (Regular Work Hours, Overtime, Vacation, Sick Pay, Personal Days, etc.)

Initiate a proper disassembly and assembly inspection process, reports for all customer and inter-company jobs.

Work closely with Engineering to make sure accurate information is provided for any upgrades, critical repair work, (included in this would be major weld repair, major changes in engineered equipment asked for by customers, peak, vessel, metallurgical changes to original OEM specifications, etc.)

Work with the Construction Coordinator to produce QRC construction/equipment schedule which all subcontractors agree with and are committed to achieving. Supply information to update and monitor schedule to ensure that milestones are met. Take appropriate action to bring schedule back on track if schedule begins to slip.

Ensure that all work carried out by subcontractors is done in accordance with the plans and specifications.

Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment on site, Initiate and approve requisitions for materials and supplies and control inventory

Issue material and services purchase orders as required and approve subsequent invoices for payment by accounting.

Maintains a close cooperation with the Technical Services Group to facilitate a fast response for quotations, large S & R contracts, maintenance contracts as well as special engineering, tools and machine tool issues.

Responsible for facility maintenance, utilities, security, and other miscellaneous facility issues.

Get deep knowledge of the ITT process, technical and quality standards and procedures.

Get a unique knowledge of region competitors pumps population, its state and operation conditions.

Develop the critical parts manufacturing locally utilizing Pro cast technology and Thai pro shop practice and experience.

Develop the list of local qualified vendors to provide, castings and other necessary buyouts.

Skills and Experience

Education: Engineering Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in pump product lines. Pipe fitting

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Supervisory skills

Be able to operate some shop equipment. Be able to work from drawings and diagrams. Use all measuring equipment. Have considerable mechanical ability

Minimum Education Requirements BS/BA Degree or Equivalent
