ANNOUNCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY WITH SAGINAW COUNTY Position: Victimrsquo;s Rights Assistant Department: Prosecutorrsquo;s Office Classification/Salary: (T-09A) $26,677 - $32,577 Date Posted: MAY 18, 2017 GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Assures that victimsrsquo; rights services guaranteed under State law and the Michigan Constitution are delivered timely to the citizen victims of crimes committed in Saginaw County. Notifies all victims of their Constitutional rights to be heard in the criminal justice system of Saginaw County and respond to their daily questions and inquires. Serves as an advocate for the crime victims as needed when the Victimsrsquo; Rights Program Director/Advocate is busy with advocacy for other victims. QUALIFICATIONS Professional, legal secretarial experience preferred. Minimum high school education with general business, typing, bookkeeping, data processing and computer experience. Some familiarity with court procedures is helpful. In addition to the technical skills noted, the employee should be fluent in English, proficient in spelling and other office practices. Minimum requirement of 55 words per minute typing ability with alphanumeric keyboard and CRT familiarity. A thorough understanding of privacy laws and confidentiality rules is necessary.
