Job SummaryThe McKesson Canada Technical Analyst is responsible for supporting the company’s Specialized IT Platforms by scheduling and automating all related patches and application updates. The work schedule will vary depending on the progress and completion of the objectives.Specific ResponsibilitiesCertain responsibilities associated with this role are included in Section B. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:Design, implement and maintain automation infrastructure to improve deployment quality and effectiveness. Drive implementation of Quality Assurance automation. Establish, prioritize and resolve vulnerabilities in order to meet corporate targets for Cyber Security compliance. Gather, analyze and publish patching statistics and compliance weekly and monthly.Research, evaluate, and recommend solutions for Specialized IT and Middleware environments for patch and vulnerability management.Document and maintain the upgrade process for the target platforms. Collaborate with the necessary teams on the upgrade priority, process and schedule.Participate in maintenance of Monitoring systems and actively review incidents to minimize impacts to the McKesson Canada environments. General ResponsibilitiesSeek to provide candid and timely feedback to improve performance; share information in an open manner; foster teamwork and innovation by involving team members in problem solving, decision-making and creative thinking. Ensure that requirements to internal and external customers are met in a timely and cost-effective manner; solicit feedback from customers to identify opportunities to improve products and/or services.Apply decision-making authority and autonomy needed to deliver accountabilities of job/role; seek approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope; when required, make decisions regarding the work and development of project team members.Qualifications

Knowledge:Minimum 3 years of experience with relevant technical skills and experience. Scripting skills with a particular focus on automation. Knowledge of AIX, Linux (RHEL). Added asset would include knowledge of Storage, Virtualization and Middleware environments.Ability to leverage diverse automation tools. Examples include Red Hat Satellite, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, OpenShift, etc.Familiar with various Monitoring tools, such as Zabbix, Nagios, SCOM, etc.Ability to:Take ownership of complex situations and work within a team environment to resolve issues effectively.Quickly understand complex problems and develop effective solutions.Result driven individual capable of leading operations and ensure successful outcomes.Effective written and oral communications skills in English and French
