The Director of Data Management is responsible for ensuring the overall success for Data Operations and/or implementations of data management systems, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation for Volunteers of America Southwest service product line. This is a hands on leadership role responsible for supporting data implementation and ongoing production cycles. The role includes responsibility for the efficiency and quality of the operating processes. The position includes responsibility for hiring, retaining, evaluating, and leading data entry team members. This is a strategic role that drives the operational planning and success of Data Operations while also championing new technologies and methodologies which lead to more efficient Data Operations. This position is responsible for capacity planning, budget planning and managing to the budget.
Overall quality and timeliness of data operations and/or implementation processes.
Responsible for data coordination and overall data management of resources.
Effective communication of data management problems and delays.
Establishing status and metrics that encapsulate performance and utilization in a clear and effective manner.
Manage teams that are responsible for delivery of Data Operations including hiring, mentorship, training, retention, evaluations.
Responsible for handling overall data collection and reporting.
Responsible for the development and coordination of processes that ensure data accuracy and integrity to include establishing standards for the collection of quality data collection and proper data collection procedures.
Provide technical leadership to the team.
Manage the technology roadmap and prioritize projects for Data Management team.
Closely work with infrastructure and architecture team to build a strong Data Management infrastructure.
Develop processes and management practices to reduce implementation delays and improve client onboarding experience.
Manage internal and client expectations. Communicate and report issues and bottlenecks as needed.
Handle Client data loads and manage quality issues and other delays.
Iteratively improve processes and automation to reduce failures and increase load speeds.
Provide training and serve as a source of knowledge and expertise as a data expert.
Develop key reports that demonstrate established key business indicators and outcomes for each service line.
- The Data Coordinator will report to the Director of Data Management
- Total Data Entry Staff (Including Managers, Caseworkers, A/D Specialists, Intake Specialists, Enrollment Specialists, Contract Administrator, Outreach, Outcome and Data Specialists)
Bachelor's degree plus 10 years' systems or business operations experience.
Strong communications and leadership skills.
Experience with Healthcare data intake processes or operations.
Experience in Healthcare Data warehousing and reporting.
Experience managing organizations.
Experience managing technology delivery teams.
