Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under very general direction, provides written and verbal decision quality research, analysis, reporting and recommendations in response to requests for review and comment on issues directly or indirectly related to logistics.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Provides management, customers, and subcontractors with basic logistics technology and information that ensures effective and economical support for products, service, equipment and systems. Determines support requirements including facilities, personnel, safety, supply, transportation, maintenance and services. Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, and related information to identify and document logistics related support requirements. Anticipates logistics problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors. Develops and prepares manuals, bulletins, and information systems to provide logistics support. May assist in research or technical studies to support logistic functions. May participate in planning and policy development issues. Provides regular reporting to management on logistics issues. Participates in the creation of procedures and communication material that document logistic practices. May provide advice and guidance to less experienced staff.

Duties & RESPONSIBILITIES

We have a firm opening for a Navy Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) Intermediate Logistics Analyst (ILA)

under the Naval Forces Logistics (NFL) contract to support Navy clients at COMNAVAIRPAC N412, NASNI, Coronado,

CA.

The candidate shall perform duties associated with TYCOM N4121 such as Automated Financial Management, EOM CVN

Performance Indicator Brief (PIB), NTCSS Automated Information System (AIS) troubleshooting, OTS/OJT, CVN data

mining, formal Classroom Training curriculum development and facilitation.

Position may require up to 10% travel away from NASNI office.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related business discipline. As

a substitute, four years of experience in Navy logistics, AIS management, inventory management, financial management,

and the functionality of Navy logistics and AIS may be utilized.

  • Experience: In addition to any experience which is substituted for education, the NTCSS ILA shall have three years of

experience in Naval Logistics, AIS management, inventory management, financial management, and the functionality of

military logistics AISs.

  • Aircraft Carrier (CVN) or L-Deck Stock Control/Financial DIV experience.

-NTCSS Force Level RSupply, Optimized NALCOMIS, OPTAR/Financial Management.

-Current DoD Secret Clearance.

-Ideal candidate would be a former Navy/Marine Corps Enlisted Logistics Specialists

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
