Job Purpose

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

(Percentage are purely indicative and may vary according to the profile of the candidate)

Administrative functions (40%)

  • Schedule meetings, conference calls, maintain calendars (Outlook)

  • Coordinate shipments and messenger services

  • Manage travel arrangements for the team

  • Process expense reports as needed

  • Help coordinate information flows with AXA Group and its entities

  • Assist with various projects, updating/editing documents, memos and spreadsheets

  • Liaise with the WeWork office management team when needed

  • Sit-in on meetings to take notes

Assist with writing, editing, and publishing tech-related reports for AXA’s external and internal audience (30%)

  • Feed AXA Lab’s various communication streams, starting with its Twitter feed (@axalab) and growing existing base of followers

  • Feed InsurTech meetup page with relevant information and keep charge of the communication with the members of the meetup group

  • Write short format articles on tech-related business innovation, Fintech, and insurance and innovation for a business and finance-centric audience

  • Produce monthly newsletters for an internal audience as well as external audience

Assist team with event planning logistics (15%)

  • Assist in the planning of AXA Lab’s bi-monthly InsurTech meetups

  • This includes but is not limited to: Coordinating with guest speakers ; Sourcing on-demand event staff ; Coordinate with vendors such as event photographer and catering

Assist in maintaining and enriching the CRM system of AXA Lab (10%)

  • Collate information on stakeholders (e.g. startups, corporate, VCs) of the network of AXA Lab clients

  • Actively manage the CRM database to ensure information is accurate and kept up to date for direct mailing activities

  • Produce regular reports on activity levels

Assist in welcoming delegations of AXA Group representatives (5%)

  • Assist in making travel arrangements (e.g. hotel reservations, flights, dinner plans and black car transportation)

  • Assist in creating a detailed agenda with full list of meetings and dinners

  • Update the AXA Lab learning expedition spreadsheet


  • College degree or equivalent (or finishing soon)

  • Some relevant experience obtained in full & part time work or internships

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web searches

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • A creative thinker with demonstrated success in translating broad concepts and ideas into clear and logical communications

  • Good analytical, marketing, and networking skills

  • Ability to grasp business, tech and Fintech related concepts

  • Great sense of initiative and autonomy

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management

  • Possesses a "no task is too big or too small" mentality

  • Flexible, positive attitude, and supportive team player

  • Versatility, team-spirit and good sense of humor!

  • Part-time position at 25-30 hours per week

  • Work week schedule = M-F, 8:30am – 1:30pm (flexible if necessary)

  • Potential expansion into full-time role

  • Eligibility is restricted to people who are legally allowed to work in the United States. AXA will not apply for any visa and neither will it provide a relocation package.
