Kforce Ruby on Rails Developer in San Jose, California

Kforce Inc. is immediately seeking several, proven RoR Developers for our global network technology client's licensing division. You will join an agile team of Engineers and Testers responsible for full-stack development using Ruby to its fullest potential. This position is located in San Jose, CA. Ideal candidates will be comfortable coding from scratch on a whiteboard as part of the interview process.About Our Client's Team:The Development Licensing Office perform centralized development of a new Cloud-Based Software Licensing Platform, licensing libraries, APIs, and policies. Their Primary Projects include a standardized software plugin that operates in all our client's products, Test Harness Systems, and on premise License Managers.Responsibilities:

  • Be part of the Agile Scrum Team: attend daily stand-up meetings, attend iteration planning meetings

  • Work on assigned user stories and defects

  • Understand RSPEC and can fix issues

  • Pickup defects, identify, and resolve problems at the System Level

  • Work closely with QA to address issues identified quickly

  • Be adaptive to last minute changes to the requirements and architecture and work flow

  • Pickup defects, identify, and resolve problems at the System Level

  • BS or higher in Computer Science or related field

  • 5 years of programming experience in a large-scale project

  • Must have a high level of proficiency coding in in Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality features and fixes in Ruby/Java on schedule

  • Good communication skills and ability to work with support organization

  • Independent and self-motivated
