Monsanto FP&A & Compliance Analyst – Mexico & CAM/CAR Commercial Vegetables in SANTA FE, Mexico
The FP&A & Compliance Analyst role will serve as a key finance support and business partner for the Mexico & CAM/CAR Vegetables business. Important aspects of the role include developing reports and analysis to track the vegetable business in Mexico, Central America and Caribbean. The individual will work closely with the various commercial business functions and the role reports directly to the Mexico & CAM/CAR Vegetable FP&A Manager. The role is a fast paced and exciting position that will provide extensive commercial experience and exposure.
Provides high quality financial and business analysis to drive more effective decisions for the Mexico & CAM/CAR (MXCC) Vegetables commercial organization.
Responsible for various MXCC Vegetable sales and inventory reporting and analysis in order to understand and articulate business drivers to key stakeholders.
Supports the annual LRP and budget in terms of planning and alignment with the MXCC Vegetables business to compile key data inputs needed from various stakeholders to deliver a meaningful projection.
Delivers financial support for the Mexico South and Mexico PC sub-regional business and serves as the key finance contact in developing monthly EBIT level P&L forecasts, performing variance analysis and evaluating financial implications.
Responsible for consolidating and providing quarterly updates regarding annual bookings from Strategic Dealers and Key Accounts.
Focus on compliance by performing mock audits on key internal controls to ensure CCP, FCPA and SOX controls are effective.
As part of the role’s commercial orientation, analyzing channel inventory level trends, and reviewing DSO and aging credit reports to help key stakeholders monitor progress against critical milestones and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of resources.
Communication skills are essential based on the roles requirement to provide accurate, reliable and timely financial reports regarding Sales, COGS, NSC, SGA and EBIT to the regional and global leadership team. This includes weekly updates that show results of the operation to suggest and create strategic initiatives to the leadership team and sale representatives.
Building strong relationships and partnerships with commercial organization and finance colleagues is a must. These relationships assist in providing direction and guidance in completing meaningful analysis for the business.
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with 1-2 years experience
Prior relevant experience supporting a business is a plus
Solid finance knowledge and ability to explain these concepts to non Finance colleagues
Self-motivated and result-oriented
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal
Able to build successful networks across multiple functions and geographies
Outstanding excel skills with the capacity to develop financial models to help the business improve their decision making
Fluent in Spanish and English skill level needs to be greater than 75% Spoken and Written
Minimal travel expected (5%)
