The Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst (SQA Analyst, Sr.) is responsible for performing all levels of manual and automated testing to ensure delivery of high quality software releases. The Sr. SQA will motivate and lead a team of software testers who are responsible for core delivery of high quality software releases. Continually evolve the software quality assurance team in an effort to improve the quality posture of commercial software releases. Lead the product quality initiatives throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
Principal Functions of the Job:
Performs all levels of manual and automated testing
Mentoring of SQA team members (build and lead SQA groups) React to evolving business conditions by setting and adjusting day to day priorities for SQA resources. Research and recommend training for SQA team members.
Ensure that SQA process is documented, communicated, and executed to agreed quality levels for each product.
Work collaboratively with engineering and product management to develop test requirements and plans to ensure thorough test coverage for each product. Insure resource coverage for support escalations. Responsible for SQA deliverables and support for R&D; projects and customer related issues.
Evolve SQA processes, testing strategies, and software testing methodologies. Responsible for acquiring, purchasing, renewing and distributing the licensing of all software SQA toolsets.
Drive test standards and practices within the SQA organization.
Attend product, requirement, test, and documentation reviews.
Key contributor to SQA standard operating procedures and product development process flow.
Participate in the training and/or mentoring programs as assigned or required.

Responds to the needs and requests of clients and Mediware management and staff in a professional and expedient manner.

Required Education and/or Experience
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 7 years Software QA or Software Development experience, preferably for a commercial software company. Social Service or Healthcare software is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading and developing high performing SQA teams.
Clear and experienced understanding of software development life cycle procedures and processes.
Intimate understanding of SQA toolsets such as test management, testing automation, issue tracking, etc.
Clear and experienced understanding of Software Quality Assurance process.
Leader with energy and passion focused on end-results toward improving client outcomes.
Excellent troubleshooting, listening and problem-solving skills.
Able to work in a fast paced deadline oriented environment.
Works well in a team environment.
