The Software Quality Assurance Analyst (SQA Analyst) is responsible for performing all levels of manual and automated testing to ensure delivery of high quality software releases. The SQA will be a part of a team of software testers who are responsible for core delivery of high quality software releases. Continually evolve the software quality assurance team in an effort to improve the quality posture of commercial software releases. Lead the product quality initiatives throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.

Principal Functions of the Job:

  • Performs all levels of manual and automated testing

  • Ensure that SQA process is documented, communicated, and executed to agreed quality levels for each product.

  • Work collaboratively with engineering and product management to develop test requirements and plans to ensure thorough test coverage for each product. Insure resource coverage for support escalations. Responsible for SQA deliverables and support for R&D; projects and customer related issues.

  • Provide timely and accurate status updates on assigned projects to SQA Manager and other stakeholders. Attend product, requirement, test, and documentation reviews.

  • Participate in the training and/or mentoring programs as assigned or required.

  • Adhere's to the Mediware Values and supports a positive company's culture

  • Responds to the needs and requests of clients and Mediware management and staff in a professional and expedient manner.

Job Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent OR 5 years of Software Quality Testing experience in lieu of the degree.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a software quality assurance analyst, preferably commercial healthcare application testing experience. Experience with Bowman System's products is a plus.

  • Clear and experienced understanding of software development life cycle procedures and processes.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think quickly and offer alternatives.

  • Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, listening and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments and requests.

  • Able to work in a fast paced deadline oriented environment.

  • Customer focused.

  • Works well in a team environment.
