Amec Foster Wheeler Construction Supervisor - Instrumentation in Shuaiba, Kuwait

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently seeking to recruit a competent Construction Supervisor - Instrumentation as a member of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team based in Kuwait, responsible for construction and completions delivery of KNPC’s Fifth Gas Train Project.

  • Supervise construction and co-ordinate work at site to maximize the effectiveness of construction delivery to time, budget and quality objectives

  • Monitor, review and approve construction documentation to support timely construction installation and completion

  • Monitor, progress and review construction installation and completions by the EPC Contractor at site

  • Liaise with the EPC Contractor as directed and participate in meetings as required

  • Ensure assigned work is managed and delivered to KNPC satisfaction

  • Enhance and demonstrate commitment to raising HSE standards and proposing new initiatives or improvements

  • Sustain a good team spirit within the project team, KNPC, and EPC Contractor

  • Monitor and review construction related documentation originated by the EPC Contractor

  • Review project studies & proposals for constructability and / or construction hazard identification

  • Monitor and review the EPC Contractor’s and their Subcontractors' construction activities including resourcing thereof

  • Provide technical assistance to the construction supervision team

  • Assist in the resolution of technical queries arising at site

  • Coordinate and resolve field construction queries interfacing with engineering and completions

  • Assist in the review and approval of sub-contractors method statements, review “as built“ drawings

  • Monitor, appraise, and report to KNPC on quality and safety construction performed by the EPC Contractor and their Subcontractors / Vendors

  • Diploma in Engineering degree (any discipline)

  • Minimum 8 years’ post graduate experience

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical industries

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • HSE awareness and commitment

  • Prior PMC experience an asset

  • Prior Middle East experience an asset
