Lead Technical Project Manager – Life Cycle Customer Migration Team
The Lead Technical Project Manager (LTPM) will report directly to the Manager of Life Cycle Customer Migration. The TLPM will be responsible for leading several highly complex programs and managing work streams/programs with minimal guidance or line management supervision. The TLPM will be able to communicate with CxO level customers and influence strategic and business critical decisions at top management level with customers and also internally
Duties and Responsibilities
Completes the planning and execution phases for End of Life (EOL) customer migrations to the targeted migrated product offering. Completes all operational and organizational project tasks/processes independently and autonomously. Plans and manages projects according to project standards set by the business and the customer. Project manages and/or program manages the initialization (project acquisition, scoping, prioritization / resources). Responsible for planning and managing technology and human resources required to complete large projects. The TLPM will perform timely audits, select and substantiate the optimum solution for systematic and early identification of project risks as well as for avoiding/mitigating/eliminating risks at a contractual, commercial and technical level, taking into account future developments and the impact on the overall project environment. The TLPM will implement best in class practice approaches for improving project management performance. Advises senior management on project related strategic matters while further developing the business area. Manages collaboration with internal/and external units as well as serving as the customer's first point of contact. Cross -functionally manages project resources, project milestones, and project managers within the scope of overall project management. Shapes / designs and coordinates PM standards, methods and processes at Group level. Communicates and collaborates with stakeholders and customers as well as the project steering committee.
PM standard used in project management as well as various project management standards. Extensive and in-depth knowledge of program and project management, in particular project planning, documentation and resource coordination as well as knowledge of the project management standards used. Extensive knowledge of business processes and sound knowledge of business processes in the overarching organization. Main Point of Contact (POC) within his/her program environment. Possess a deep understanding of specialized content within the project environment (e.g., IT systems, product development). Possesses knowledge of market and competitive environment in which the company operates. Top expertise in alternative project life cycles options. Possess knowledge of business administration. Methodical Skills: Top methodical skills and extensive experience in applying these methods to the assigned task area. Top knowledge of: Conducting talks/consulting, negotiations, meeting facilitation and presentation techniques. Possess knowledge of deployment/use of relevant IT systems, tools and materials within the task area. Possess in-depth knowledge of processes and structures within CTL. Possess knowledge of Change Management. Possess knowledge of auditing methods. Has the ability to work across organizations and company boundaries without supervision. Strong results oriented way of working. Good organizational and time management skills. Networking: Demonstrates the importance of collaboration, both within the team and across the team. Possesses excellent networking across departments and with contacts within the Group (e.g., as part of Group projects) and outside the Group. Education: BS/BA in Business, IT, Telecommunications to a Master’s level or 10+ years comparable experience. PMI Certified, working toward their PMI certification, or willing to become PMI certified.
