POSITION PROFILE

The Vice President, Infrastructure Engineering is an experienced leader who possesses a deep technical background in a wide range of technologies and is able to lead multiple teams in meeting technology oriented objectives. The VP will be responsible for the planning and management of our core technology infrastructures in all data center and operating locations that support the platforms used to provide services to our customers. The VP will be an active member of the leadership team that will develop infrastructure strategy and make technology decisions for the organization.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategy for leveraging technology to achieve business goals of Office Services business unit
  • Define reference architectures and ensure compliance with architectures in services and solutions development
  • Establish, and manage to, standard engineering processes and procedures throughout the organization
  • Interact with Services Development shareholders to develop solutions within established timelines
  • Drive business growth through better use of technology
  • Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for major industry partners including understanding their product roadmaps and conveying Ricoh requirements that will influence their roadmap

  • Organize and maintain an engineering organization that is capable of rapidly addressing solution development in accordance with the SDLP
  • Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale in conjunction with the Product development team
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and accounts in situations where a high level perspective is required on the strategic direction
  • Analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological and competitive edge within the market
  • Develop training and development plans to ensure the engineering staff is capable and qualified to perform complex solution designs

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Typically Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline) required.
  • Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 15 years IT experience with a minimum of 3 years as an IT executive (director level minimum) within a global organization.
  • IT work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations, leadership experience in managing multiple, large cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.

  • Possesses knowledge of Infrastructure Technology and Operations.
  • Must have Project Management experience of global IT implementations.
  • Must have experience managing strategic and outsourced vendor relationships.
  • Understanding of technical direction, trends, and strategic business impact of key business and IT initiatives.
  • Leadership skills that energize multidiscipline work teams to respond to business needs.
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with customers, associates, and senior management.
