Join Our Team working as a Food Service Attendant! We are looking for someone to work Part-Time hours in the Food and Nutritional Services Department! Pay starts at $11.00 an hour and goes up based on experience. Summary: Sets up and serves assigned patient room service station. Completes ware washing and sanitation tasks. Follows menus, portion guides, and established policies and procedures to ensure maintenance of food quality, sanitation and safety standards. May be cross-trained to perform duties of cook, cafe attendant, and/or call center attendant. Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Accurately portions, assembles and attractively displays foods for patients, Meals-On-Wheels and other services as assigned. Prepares cold foods, i.e., puddings, gelatins, eggnogs, sandwiches and nutritionally fortified foods for patient service as ordered. Brews coffee and prepares toast. Prepares, packages, and displays sandwiches and other foods for cafeteria and special functions as directed. May periodically use hot food production equipment. 2. Assembles and delivers trays directly to the patient’s bedside. Delivers food carts and bulk nourishment to correct locations. 3. Follows food rotation procedures, and properly stores, and labels leftover foods. 4. Pre-scrapes and racks dishes, feeds and unloads dish machine. Properly sorts and stores clean dishware. 5. Cleans and sanitizes production, service, dish room and storage equipment as scheduled. 6. Performs manual warewashing duties as assigned. 7. Assembles, sets up, serves and cleans up catered services as assigned. 8. Attends department meetings and required inservices. 9. May perform responsibilities of cafe attendant on a relief basis. Operates cash register, assembles and serves menu items, sets up catered food orders and provides attentive and friendly customer service. 10. Assists with receiving and storing food deliveries and stocking food and supplies as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Completion of sophomore year in high school required. Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Experience: At least one-year experience in a food services setting preferred. Abilities: Demonstrates computer literacy Abilities: Must be able to tolerate working in patient care areas in varied situations Job: Nutrition Services
