DuPont Photovoltaic and Advanced Materials (PVAM) is an innovative leader with more than three decades’ experience in developing and delivering market leading polymer and ceramic thick film materials for use in automotive, biomedical and military electronics. Materials and applications also supported include Tedlar® PVF film for the photovoltaic, aerospace and industrial markets. DuPont PVAM provides support to customers through technology leadership and product and application development.
The DuPont Photovoltaic and Advanced Materials business is seeking a Key Account Manager with excellent interpersonal and networking skills to grow the West Coast territory and expand the customer base in key focus areas including wearable electronics, in-mold and consumer electronics.

The primary responsibility of the position as Key Account Manager is to develop and deliver the value proposition for DuPont PVAM to large, strategic accounts.
This visible and highly motivated employee will manage all aspects of the sales process within the territory consisting of customers located on the West Coast. Customers in this territory are predominantly military focused; however new emerging markets such as wearable electronics, in-mold electronics and consumer will continue to be potential target areas for growth.
The position requires initiative, effective time management and results orientation. The Key Account Manager needs to have excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team of peers (which often includes other functions in DuPont, and customer personnel).
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and strengthening relationships at all levels of the customer organization covering existing accounts as well as establishing relationships with new customers.
Key success factors in this role are the ability to identify needs, develop solutions, deliver and capture value. This requires the Key Account Manager to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and processes as well as the DuPont product and service offerings.
The selling role is highly consultative and the ability to combine market understanding, commercial skills, and technical knowledge/ resources to define and meet objectives that benefit customers and DuPont is critical.
Based in home office preferably on the West Coast with close proximity to a major airport to support travel needs.
Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, materials science, electronics or equivalent relevant experience
Electronics Industry background/experience is required
At least 5 years of experience in industry related sales
Demonstrated strategic sales performance, building customer relationships, consulting and business development experience are essential.
Ability to travel >50%
MINIMUM COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Familiarity with SalesForce.com or other CRM system is a plus
