The Senior Manager for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Systems is responsible for establishing and providing processes, tools and engineering personnel to perform EGSE design, development, and test support for Electronics Systems typically found on our large platforms. This individual is the functional process owner for the EGSE Design CIPS, and is responsible for creating value oriented EGSE Subsystem solutions in collaboration with Advanced Programs and the Products Organizations. Collaborate with the supply chain to develop roadmaps that leverage customer and supplier investments to benefit LM programs. Work with LOB's to define staffing needs, develop and implement training requirements, and develop mentoring programs and career path opportunities for personnel within the department. Direct, coordinate, perform and exercise authority of all subordinate employee recruitment, staffing / destaffing requirements and actions, employee job assignments and rotations, merit increases, promotions, compliance / skills training, performance assessment, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Ensure technical integrity is maintained by actively participating in insight/oversight activities. Support proposals, Red Teams and INARs as required. The successful candidate must also have ability to organize, motivate and lead groups of engineering personnel drawing upon their in-depth technical skills with a focus on Mission Success. At times candidate must go on special assignment to solve an LOB problem, including leading independent reviews and failure investigation teams. The candidate may get special assignments either to work on task forces or to lead them. This individual will represent LM and provide major technical interface and subject matter expertise with internal and external customers and suppliers in area of flight electronics subsystem engineering. The candidate must have the ability to quantify in metrics the right parameters to monitor or assess the effectiveness of Design solutions across the enterprise and ensure compliance with command media and dissemination of lessons learned for mission success. This individual must have a Proven Two Way Communication style. Strong interpersonal, communication, administrative, and presentation skills and ability to evaluate engineering personnel for performance reviews, promotions, and merits.

Basic Qualifications Demonstrated experience as a level 5 or level 6 leader. Demonstrated experience supporting hardware production and test activities either internally or at a supplier (preferably both). Experience and expertise in the areas of subsystem electronics/hardware design, development, qualification, requirement, interfaces, or test. (Missile or Spacecraft, preferably both) Experience simultaneously working tasks in a multi-program environment Experience in the proposal creation and negotiation process Current SCI or ability to obtain an SCI clearance Engineering BS or equivalent

Desired skills Advanced degree in Engineering and/or Business Certified Green / Black belt Demonstrated experience managing a centrally deployed "pay-by-the-drink" team Knowledge of EGSE design and implementation for Electronics Subsystems Excellent presentation, oral and written skills to facilitate effective and efficient interchanges employees, co-workers, and leadership
