Reed Business Information are seeking an experienced Test Engineer for, a Market Leading Insight, Data Analytics and Workflow Solutions Provider for the Global Aviation Sector. RBI are part of the FTSE100 RELX group.

Role Description:

We are looking for someone with strong Analytical skills, great Communication skills, plus Automation Test experience using Specflow, Selenium WebDriver and C# to join one our flagship digital brands based from our vibrant Sutton head office.

You will join an Agile product team delivering data rich, highly interactive commercial web based products to customers of one of our most innovative businesses.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Estimating stories
  • Creating tests from requirements
  • Liaising with stakeholders for requirements clarification
  • Managing test environments and deployments
  • Performing Manual and automated testing
  • Maintaining automation tests
  • Providing automation training for team members
  • Data testing and validation
  • Functional, Regression and Integration testing
  • Non-functional testing
  • Raising defects clearly and with required information using JIRA
  • Prioritising defects
  • Retesting and closing logged defects
  • Organising and co-ordinating UAT
  • LIVE release testing

Essential skills required:

  • Solid manual and automation test experience
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Automation experience using Selenium Webdriver
  • C# language
  • Ability to create automation frameworks from scratch and to understand existing frameworks (POM/Page Factory)
  • Experience of creating BDD style acceptance criteria with Specflow (Given/When/Then format)
  • Experience in exploratory, cross browser and functional web testing
  • Good understanding of Version control and Deployments
  • Experience using defect management tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills
  • Excellent proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • A real interest and passion for software development and high quality code

Desired skills:

  • Experience with continuous integration techniques
  • Understanding of Teamcity, Stash
  • Ability to automate end to end tests including CMS, Databases, APIs and Frontend.
  • Performance and Load testing
  • ISTQB certification in Software Testing
  • Web technology experience (HTML/JavaScript)
  • Mobile/Tablet testing experience
