The Engineer at this level has experience and an increasing proficiency in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, project management responsibilities, field project support and exposure to Company procedures. The successful candidate performs a variety of engineering duties by applying basic engineering techniques and analyses in support of environmental remediation projects. Typical project assignments are larger in scope, more difficult and varied than at an entry level engineer (typically 0-3 yrs experience). This position would be based out of the Syracuse, NY office, however willingness to travel to supplier, client, site investigation locations or construction site locations may occasionally be required.


Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering or equivalent program, and available data in the related field.

Prepares or assists in preparing fundamental engineering computations, design reports, documents associated with field work, sampling and reporting, and engineering assessments. This role will involve authoring of documents for client and regulatory submittal (e.g., feasibility study reports, design reports, etc.).

Manages or assists manager in in execution of field work including sample collection and subcontractor oversight.

Prepares of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.

Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.

Prepares and issues of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

Provides input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same projectand lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

Communicates daily field operations and project information to the Project Manager/Senior Engineer. Can create presentations, review and edit project deliverables and maintain organized documentation of work on given project directory.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 3-5 years of related work experience. In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.


Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
