A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityandfour (4) years of information technology experience, two (2) of which must have been in a Microsoft SharePoint Administrator capacity;or

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in computer science or management information systems or business administrationandthree (3) years of information technology experience, two (2) of which must have been in a Microsoft SharePoint Administrator capacity;or

A master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in computer science or management information systemsandtwo (2) years of information technology experience, one (1) of which must have been in a Microsoft SharePoint Administrator capacity;or

Experience as described above can be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

This position resides in the Office of Agriculture Technology Services and is responsible for providing SharePoint and Team Foundation business and technical services to the offices and divisions of the department. This includes taking the lead role for the support of core SharePoint and Team Foundation environments and laying a foundation of these platforms related to the future needs of the department.

Develop and maintain standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures related to Collaboration, Governance, Site Collections and design improvements for the SharePoint and Team Foundation enterprise.

Produce written deliverables including, but not limited to: process diagrams, requirements, specifications, business or technical analysis, test plans, test cases, training materials and presentations of SharePoint and Team Foundation functions and features.

Study and support Cloud based Customer Relationship platforms such as SalesForce, Microsoft Office 360, etc. as assigned by the management team.

Facilitate and/or participate in small to large meetings and presentations to provide support and education of application features and functions; perform testing, reporting, data management and tasks related to future development of the TFS and SharePoint environments.

Perform related work as required, including, but not limited to, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Department’s Information Resource Security Program and allocate time as requested for Disaster Recovery activities.


  • Skills to implement, configure, enhance and support the Microsoft SharePoint applications and tools.

  • Knowledge of business and technical analysis.

  • Knowledge of application development using Microsoft technologies including but not limited to SQL Server and the SharePoint development tool sets.

  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze information to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, and produce written deliverables.

  • Ability to organize data in logical formats for presentation in reports, presentations, and other written materials.

  • Ability to conduct fact finding research; to work independently and as a member of a team; and, to communicate effectively.
