This position is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the Vip/ Plum Lounge to provide a positive guest experience.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensures that service is carried out in accordance with established policies
Hires all personnel in accordance to policy and procedure
Trains and evaluates all personnel and enforces food & beverage policies and procedures
Resolves guests complaints
Promotes positive guest/employee relations
Responsible for the successful planning and execution of banquet functions, not only in the Plum Lounge, but in various function areas throughout the property
Other assignments as directed
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred with two (2) to four (4) years of restaurant supervisory experience
Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality while being able to project a professional appearance
Must possess excellent organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills
Must possess excellent time management skills along with the ability to forecast the time management needs of others
Must be able to effectively coach and counsel employees
Must be able to effectively communicate with guests regarding complaints, programs etc
Must be able to function and manage in non - standard situations where judgement is required and limited guidelines exist
Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
