Kforce has a client seeking a Web Developer III in Tampa, FL. Job Summary: Designing innovative, user-friendly websites for progressive online activism and community building. Our Web Designers work closely with our marketing department staff, social media, and online team members to develop specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies and optimization of current technology. Using a LAMP development environment, and database driven applications, the web designer is responsible for layout, design, and quality control of websites. This involves developing online designs that effectively communicate the key concepts being promoted. The Web Designer takes part in the initial concept planning and creation of new websites, redesigns and other website related projects. This position is also responsible for ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to and proper functioning of the website (QC).

  • 3 years of experience as a web designer designing high quality business websites

  • Must have solid understanding of HTML 5, HTML and CSS without a wysiwyg editor

  • Experience with PHP/MySQL, jQuery and open source framework environments

  • Solid user interface and landing page concept to completion design experience

  • Basic knowledge of website usability, SEO, JSON and Kahona framework

  • Must be able to demonstrate prior work in web design

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite software, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Analytical thinker and problem solver, ability to come up with solutions to diverse problems

  • Self-motivated, quick learner able to multi-task on simultaneous projects

  • Must maintain and update company websites using HTML, CSS within a PHP framework
