Global Trade is a compliance function reporting to Finance Controllership. It supports businesses and functions in meeting their obligations with import/export laws and regulations worldwide.

This role offers the unique opportunity to lead complex and high impact regulatory compliance initiatives in a global and a collaborative environment.

The Global Trade Program Management Office provides planning, project leadership and oversight of the Plan of Action, to ensure that Global Trade makes correct strategic, financial and operational choices where the company invests and

delivers to those commitments. The PMO is committed to continuously improve through innovation, focusing in business enablement and operational efficiency.

As part of the PMO, you will have the opportunity to engage with business and functions across the company to understand their processes in the context of trade compliance requirements, identify compliance risks and ensure that the business/functions have implemented suitable mitigation plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a broad range of complex projects, where Global Trade owned assets are the primary systems impacted

  • Communicate requirements and guidelines to business unit and IT teams

  • Coordinate the delivery of comprehensive requirements, supporting project team’s comprehension of scope

  • Partner with global business units and IT to design and deliver systemic compliance solutions to support import/export regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with IT to support development and implementation of new system capabilities

  • Contribute to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead/develop recommendations and provides insight for management.

  • Define and review system performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address

  • Management reporting on project status and issues

  • Mentor junior-level staff

  • Collaborate across regions and business units

  • Ability to influence a particular business across functions and/or regions.

  • Drive negotiations and influences business and IT as required

Education and Experience Required

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

  • Typically 6-10 years of experience in a business related function, preferably within trade, supply chain, or any compliance function

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills

  • Excellent process development skills

  • Experience with both agile and waterfall project management methodologies

  • Experience working closely with business and technology resources to analyze and define requirements

  • Expertise in Supply Chain processes a plus

  • Expertise in complete end-to-end business processes such as Order to Cash a plus

Technical Skills Qualifications

  • SAP Global Trade Services (GTS)
