Operate machinery within production environment to produce quality products per written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedures, safety, and quality guidelines. This is a position on our 2nd shift, 3:00pm to 11:30pm located in Tullahoma, TN.
Operate production machinery
Be open to change and constant improvement of processes
Obtain set up parameters for molds and input them into injection molding press.
Operate the injection molding press including identification and notification of alarms.
Adjusts molding conditions within specified parameters.
Perform general inspection of molded product using a microscope, gages, and other measuring equipment as required by the quality inspection plan.
Perform in-process adjustments to auxiliary equipment as required.
Completes required paperwork to report production, scrap, downtime, problems and issues related to the equipment and labor reporting.
General housekeeping of work area
Monitor machines for problems and help troubleshoot issues
Prepare and Load raw material into machine
Follow standard work instructions to ensure quality
Carry out basic calculations with aid of a computer and calculator
Follow written and verbal instructions
Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and high standards
Complete relevant documentation
Clean and maintain equipment and work area per 5S+1 standards
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent
At least six months experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow operating instructions as outlined.
Strong communication skills required.
Attention to detail required.
Must follow all safety rules supported by the facility
