Purpose & Objectives – Mission & Vision of Team

The SAP Road Maps organization is part of the Global Customer Operations board area which combines global sales and ecosystem and channels activities to further strengthen SAP’s go-to-market approach by fostering customer relationships and accelerating value delivery.

This team works closely with Product and Solution Owners to build Road Map documents, which are then shared with our customers and partners via conference sessions and webinars. These Road Maps describe how feature and function capabilities of an SAP product or technology are planned to progress over time. In addition, the team owns various road map tools that provide road map information to customers and help align their IT plans with SAP's product and technology plans.

This job assignment is related to specific customer interaction and product road map related activities. Specifically, the assignment will involve best practice creation, assisting with the production and roll out of road maps, collaborating on the planning and delivery of customer-facing webinars, and / or participation in promotional initiatives.

  • Can independently drive initiatives and tasks end-to-end

  • Collaborate and work jointly with the local team, the global team, and related stakeholders

  • Contribute to and support the work of your team members and the overall deliverables of the team, as required

Responsibilities

  • Review and provide qualitative feedback on product road map documents to senior Product Managers by learning about SAP product portfolio

  • Facilitate the road map roll-out process by communicating review cycle updates and updating/developing wiki or community based resources

  • Help plan, organize and moderate customer-facing webinars related to product road maps

  • Support and drive promotional initiatives to increase awareness about the Road Map program among internal colleagues and SAP customers

  • Support local and remote colleagues with their tasks and initiatives

Qualifications / Skills and Competencies Preferred

  • Demonstrated business skills combined with technology oriented training

  • Is well organized and effective in structuring work assignments to meet deadlines

  • Attentive to detail and can provide constructive feedback to senior colleagues

  • Works well in a local and virtual team environment, driving initiatives independently and jointly

  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Likes to contribute to the plans and activities of other team members

  • Experience working with portal and collaboration technologies is an asset

  • Data analysis skills are an asset

Work Experience

  • Experience in the context of some or all of the following is beneficial:

  • project management

  • product management

  • customer support

  • marketing

  • SAP product experience is beneficial but not required

Education Requirements

2 nd , 3 rd or 4 th year student studying in the area of Commerce or Business Administration, ideally with some business technology management coursework

Can start in January 2018 for an 8 month-full time internship in our SAP Vancouver office location
