Job Family Description:
The Category management function defines and manages the product offering, positioning, and pricing across the product life cycle of a given portfolio, guiding the direct/indirect sales teams on such product related dimensions. They are responsible to plan the business objective for a specific portfolio, and to achieve this plan through on going adjustments of the product related decisions. Acts as the lead expert in competition product knowledge in all dimensions (product knowledge, pricing, marketing, customer requirements). Communicates, briefs, supports direct and indirect sales force on product strategies. Defines advertising, and demand generation priorities at strategic and tactical levels in partnership with the Marketing function. Sales compensated role. Quota is an overlay.
Responsible for leading/managing marketing, operational, and finanicial aspects of home printing solutions in the United States.
Develop short and mid-term plans to achieve market growth, revenue and operating profit goals.
Develop and lead cross-functional go-to-market team to support daily execution of marketing, operational and financial activities
Develops strategy with field sales teams, sales management and other key category stakeholders on programs and product positioning to win business.
Education and Experience Required:
University or Bachelor's degree, advanced degree or MBA preferred
Typically 12-15+ years of professional services experience
Demonstrated successful experience in managing a local team
Financial acumen: P&L experience; expertise with financial data; experience driving profitability
Execution: ownership and operational excellence; drives efficiency and results; "seam stitching": regional alignment and integration
Go-to-market: category, retail segment experience; customer orientation
Knowledge and Skills:
Top Talent GBU experience is ideal.
Sales or business development experience is required.
Strong P&L Experience is required.
Over 15 years of applicable experience.
Personal Stamina: energetic, persistent, aspiring, composed, confident, open to feedback.
Outstanding leadership and influencing skills:building high-performing teams; coaching performance; inspiring others; achieving results through in-direct teams, assertiveness.
Omni channel / retail marketing and program experience.
