The environment of the position will have a centralized focus on creating drinks for the tables located in the Rundle Lounge and Lookout Patio. In addition to this, ensuring that both outlets are set up for success so that they may run with efficiency and the high quality beverage standards that Fairmont Banff Springs is known for.

Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Rundle Lounge Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Have complete understanding of and adhere to all company policies and rules including those relating to fire, hygiene and safety
Adhering strictly to Fairmont standards including grooming.
Thorough knowledge of the menu and options.
Serving guest in a casual environment.
Work well with little supervision.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Maintaining stock levels in the Rundle/Lookout Patio bar.
Liaison to kitchen departments, while communicating orders efficiently
Stocking store rooms, moving of products, and inventory
Working with cash, and basic accounting
Taking the Rundle/Lookout Patio bar on as your own area to organize, clean, and maintain.
Lifting and moving of dining room chairs and tables.
Assisting with Banquet style events.
Must maintain the highest cleanliness standards.
Efficient and organized individual able to work well under pressure.
Able to build and maintain professional relationship with members and regular guests.
Flexible with working hours and working environment.
Other duties as assigned
Previous bartending experience preferred
Excellent knowledge of all beverage products
Previous point of sale system experience an asset
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
