As a Golf Course Sales Associate with The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, you will be an ambassador for our on-site championship golf course and the exceptional service that our colleagues offer. Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Golf Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Assist guests in an informative and helpful way
- Maximize retail profits through effective sales techniques, expert product knowledge and inventory controls
- Coordinate Golf Course Registration
- Ensure the Golf Shop is professionally merchandised at all times
- Assist the Golf Course Event/Tournament Coordinator in the execution of golf events
- Follow all policies, procedures and service standards
- Ensure seamless guest movement from the shuttle arrival through the Golf Shop to the cart staging area
- To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Previous customer service and/or retail experience is required
Previous golf course experience an asset, but not required
Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required
Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (specificially, Word and Excel)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements:Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
