Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Royal Service Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Acknowledging guest compliments and complaints and ensuring the guests needs are met
  • Follow-up of all guest requests or concerns
  • Answer external and internal calls and direct to the appropriate departments. Wherever possible assist the guest in their inquires prior to redirecting them
  • Full knowledge of the department and hotel emergency and crisis procedures including: fire procedures, guest and staff medicals, and mechanical alarms
  • Maintaining working knowledge of operating procedures of the following departments: Housekeeping, Maintenance, Guest Services, Food and Beverage
  • Ensuring accurate records of guest calls to Royal Service to maintain the integrity of our data
  • Maintaining a safe and hazard free working environment
  • Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with other hotel departments
  • Being well informed about all hotel facilities and hotel history in order to provide informative and interesting hotel tours as required
  • Maintaining knowledge of hotel rates and packages
  • Collecting and maintaining information on the hotel and surrounding area
  • Attending promotional functions as necessary
  • Ensuring enter-departmental communication and co-operation in the interest of better guest satisfaction
  • Completing daily task list
  • Adhering to the FH&R; Green Plan and the Chateau Lake Louise Health & Safety policy
  • Working shifts as business levels dictate
  • General computer maintenance
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program
  • Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned
Employee Status

Qualifications:

  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Self-motivated with a keen sense of guest service and excellent decision making skills
  • Previous Guest or Customer Service experience an asset
  • Opera system and Word Perfect experience preferred
  • Professional appearance and manner required

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Frequent sitting throughout shift

  • Occasional standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
