Abbott Medical Optics (AMO) is currently looking for a
Sales Manager Cataract Germany (m/w)
The position is home-office based
Lead a Management team of 2 direct reports with a substructure of 16 Territory Managers and directly serve selected major accounts to meet or exceed financial goals (Net Sales, Operating Income and Divison Margin) for the Cataract Business in Germany
Develop launch strategy of new products together with Regional Director and Marketing, ensure timely implementation and execution in the Field in order to achieve defined targets (net sales, margin, unit, market share)
Set targets, objectives and incentives schemes at the beginning of each sales cycle relating to work input, output and business process; hold regular sales team meetings to emphasize current strategies in order to meet targets
Monitor and consolidate outcomes of German engagement and execution of account plans in order to feed the quarterly and yearly planning process; control market potential and manage opportunities by utilizing the CRM system
Evaluate customer satisfaction by personal contact and feedback from Territory Managers; be in direct contact with customers and key accounts; participate in all major national and international congresses
Monitor market and competitor dynamics and drive paradigm shift towards solution offering to customers & AMO strategies in Germany; establish strategies and tactics to best optimize outcomes in changing environment; engage with industry and doctors associations, governments and societies
People Management: continuous organization upscale by coaching & skill development of the sales team – develop effective sales force organization in terms of product know-how, selling skills, financial business acumen, targeting skills and Customer Relation Management
Strong commercial orientated personality with at least 3 years in medical device sales (preferred ophthalmic business) in leadership position
Demonstrated experience in leading people for at least 3 years
Experienced selling highly complex product portfolio; excellent selling skills and focus on customer intimacy
Strong financial skills to develop realistic Plans and Forecasts and to manage top & bottom line, preferred experience in managing full P&L
Proven experience predicting markets trends and tailoring strategies and tactics to drive for opportunities
Very good understanding of reimbursement challenges/opportunities in Health Care Industry
Driving attitude, change management, focus on execution, multi-stakeholder management and ability to drive complex cross-functional projects with a strategic approach
Experience with Customer Relation Management and customer segmentation / targeting
Good interpersonal skills (team player)
Excellent communication & coaching skills
Ability to take stress and high flexibility
Structural and analytical thinking
Very good English and German
Willingness to frequent travel
Track record of legal compliance
