**This position is contingent upon contract award**SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Patient Administration Technician for a possible position located in Iraq.Essential Job Duties: • Guides the patient through entire encounter in the facility (from reception to discharge) to include facilitating follow-up visits for recurring care, upon the providers requests• Tracks admitted patients until discharge, keeps inventory and securing their belongings until patient requests release• Plays an integral role in mass casualty exercises and medical evacuation procedures; • Establishes and maintains processes to receive patients that present for medical care; • Assists providers and support staff in developing means through which the facility can improve patient in-put• Maintains patient waiting areas • Registers new patients into the system of record• Prepares and consolidates medical documents and files • Maintains medical evacuation data and a system through which the facility is able to track patient’s location and disposition after evacuation• Processes patient visit data for inclusion into recurring reports
• Associate Degree or equivalent• Nationally Registered and/or State licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) • Prior use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with advanced utilization of these applications is preferred• Must have been performing similar job for 6 of the past 12 months
Working environment:• Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable• Long Hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditionDesired Qualifications• Three (3) years experience in a medical facility’s emergency department in an patient administrative technician capacity• Prior deployment in support of civilian and/or military medical service as a Patient Administration professional
