Instrumentation & Control Superintendent (10 months contract)
Business Line:Corporate Const/Procurement
The Discipline Superintendent is accountable for interfacing with and monitoring the erector’s work and for taking action to achieve schedule, quality, and safety expectations. The Superintendent is also accountable for providing the erector with information and direction, as outlined within the interface agreement, to allow the work to proceed as scheduled.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitors and reports on construction activities for compliance with the schedule and reports on completion of project schedule activities and commodity installation.
Assists erector in resolving problems and reports on issues related to drawings and information, schedule, quality, quantity tracking, and safety.
Performs field inspections of work in progress.
Assists the field engineer with the maintenance of conformed-to-constructions records.
Develops a stable working relationship with assigned erector.
Attend weekly erector’s meeting; assists erector as required in daily, weekly, and monthly planning.
Verifies that all material needed to support the Three Week Look-Ahead Schedule is onsite.
Develops, monitors, and reports on completion of erector’s punch list items.
Maintains a daily log for site records.
Assists Project Field Manager in the preparation of all extra work authorization requests (e.g., Request for Modification Proposals or Work Authorizations).
Assists the Discipline Field Engineer in the preparation of responses to Contractor Information Requests.
Monitors the supplier technical service representative daily log and reviews/approves representative’s time sheets.
Implements Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards and Lessons Learned.
Bachelor`s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation/Control Engineering,
with a minimum desirable experience: 10-15 years
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
