The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking an academic Renal Pathologist and Surgical Pathologist for a fixed-term clinical track position at the rank of Associate Professor. This position will primarily involve diagnostic service responsibilities in renal pathology and gynecological surgical pathology, as well as involvement in related clinical research and scholarship. Sub-specialty fellowship training and experience in renal pathology are required. The faculty member will have teaching responsibilities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
Education and Experience:
The successful applicant must have a demonstrated interest, prior specialty training, and evidence of scholarly research productivity in both native kidney and kidney allograft pathology. Preference will be given to candidates with at least five years of experience in interdisciplinary research programs studying kidney diseases.
