Job Description

**This position is contingent upon contract award**SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Assistant LAN Administrator to manage and administer the facilities network to include network server and peripherals, electronic mail server, network architecture, TCPIP, data communications, etc. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES• Must possess in depth knowledge of network architectures, topologies and IP protocols; knowledge of Events logs, Windows Scripting, SNMP, DHCP, DNS/BIND, AD and Linux, Proxy server, SNORT IDS/IPS, CISCO routers/switches, McAfee HBSS Suite, Symantec Product Suite (such as Backup Exec, Ghost and SMTP Gateway), Firewalls, Web Content filtering Software (e.g. Websense Suite), Surf control filter, Log Server (e.g. Log Rhythm SIEM) administration, Tumbleweed, Office 2010 Products and newer, Adobe Product Suite, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Active client software, Apple iPhone/Smartphone, Windows Security Update Server (WSUS), Windows SMS, Lumos ADT, AtHoc (Crisis Communication Notification) software, and all security software approved by the DoD• Shall provide airfield operations services to ensure aircraft arrive, receive services properly, and depart in a safe and timely manner to support the air operations mission• Shall direct all aircraft ground operations using hand signals to communicate with aircraft pilot in accordance with NAVAIR 00-80T-113, Aircraft Signals Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization Program (NATOPS) Manual• Airfield Operations are a 24 hours, seven days a week operation. The contractor shall provide operation services at all times• Implement, Manage and troubleshoot the Local Area Networks (LAN)• Ensure each LAN is up and available during normal working hours• In the absence of the LAN Admin troubleshoots network, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other Operational difficulties• Documents network problems and resolutions for the future reference• Repairs on a component level and advise others on proper maintenance as required• Performs/Documents semi-annual and annual inventory of LAN hardware and software• Ensures timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability• Deters and reports unauthorized entry in LAN• Maintains security of the LANs and implement IAVA compliance requests in accordance with NAVCYBERDEFOPSCOM policy• Creates/Maintains user accounts• Creates scripts to facilitate network upgrades, security updates and installs• Maintains virus protection and firewalls• Monitors and corrects Forefront Proxy, SNORT IDS/IPS, Retina Eye Digital security and HBSS vulnerabilities• Reviews and makes recommendations on existing server configurations• Reviews and makes recommendations on procurement of computer, network hardware, peripheral equipment and software• Coordinates the procurement and installation of new computer hardware and software• Coordinates the installation of software patches and upgrades• Trains users on LAN operations and provides technical resource support• Provides customer desktop support for LAN users• Investigates user’s problems, identifies their source, determines possible solutions, tests and implements solutions• Develops, document and implements system standards and procedures• Monitors to assure user adherence• Maintains/Documents site licenses• Manages/Documents retirement and disposal of obsolete or broken equipment• Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network• Designs, engineer and installs network cabling• Plans and implements equipment reallocations• Provides PC maintenance• Provides hardware maintenance review on computer equipment• Provides system communications assistance• Responsible for imaging software (COTS, GOTS, JOTS or JWICS operations)• Provides system communications assistance to external network connections• Works with associated cryptographic equipment• Provides web page development and maintenance

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Must be a US Citizen• Must possess a SSBI U.S. Secret level Security Clearance• Must have a minimum 5 years of LAN server/network experience with the latest Windows technologies• Must be Microsoft Network Engineer Certified (MCSE 2008 or higher)• Must be CISCO certified Network Associate• Must have DISA HBSS basic level (201) qualification• Must have CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) certification or higher
