Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the In-Room Dining/Cent'Anni/Pool Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Present a professional manner at all times.

  • Ensure proper service and atmosphere for the guest.

  • Develops program for special guest functions in suites, hospitality and guest rooms

  • Is knowledgeable of all Department Standards as well as Hotel Standards to ensure orders are delivered on time and all standards are met.

  • Responsible for all administrative duties including staffing, hiring, training, discipline and development.

  • Supervise, schedule and direct all Room Service and Pool personnel.

  • Ensure compliance to all rules, regulations and procedures.

  • Document all incidents in detail.

  • Directly responsible for all food and beverage operations in assigned area to include suites, rooms and pool.

  • Inspect staff as to uniforms, cleanliness, identification, etc.

  • Order supplies to ensure proper par levels.

  • Ensure Amenity Program procedures are being met daily.

  • Assist in creating new invigorating ideas to upsell and train.

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all the employees and Conduct Monthly Safety Trainings.

  • Overlook Wine Program to include ordering, inventory and trainings.

  • Other job related duties as assigned.

  • Supervises All Room Service, and Pool employees

  • Responsible for managing and supervising pool area

  • Responsible for inner workings of pool kitchen and bar

  • Responsible for staff management

  • Responsible for orders related to Bar (alcohol) and internal needs (condiments and various products)

Employee Status

Qualifications:

  • Food Handlers card required

  • Ability to work weekends/holidays/evenings

  • Cash handling experience required

  • Previous related experience required

  • Eligible to serve alcohol

  • Ability to manage others

  • Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Must be able to train employees to Standards of Service as specified in departmental manual.

  • Must have knowledge of food and beverage cost accounting, payrolls, forecasting and budgeting.

  • Must be familiar with traditional and contemporary styles of cuisine and service.

  • Must have a working knowledge of food, beverage and labor costs and how they are affected by the actions of the department.

  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.

  • Ability to perform intermediate math.

  • Working knowledge of computers, to include word processing and spreadsheet applications, and point of sales programs.

  • Must display an ability to be able to communicate with other departments including Sales and Catering, Housekeeping, Banquets, Culinary, Beverage and Stewards.

  • High School Education, two years of college or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years Room Service Supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.

  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to multi-task in a calm manner on a timely basis.

  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill daily tasks.

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
