What You Need to Bring To The Table:
Minimum of 3 years of consultative outside B2B sales experience
Experience selling technology (HRIS, HCM) based solutions; familiarity with payroll or PEO solutions helpful
Competency at building C-level relationships
History of sales-wins with long sales cycles (3-9 months)
Ability to gain required industry licensing (company support provided)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience
Our Gallagher Marketplace Technology Sales Consultantsprovides our private benefits exchange (Gallagher Marketplace), sales opportunities for our Gallagher Branches by calling prospective clients, setting appointments, managing follow-up calls to marketing campaigns, seminars and conferences, and researching leads and prospects. The primary responsibility for the Business Development Specialist is to generate revenue for Gallagher with the primary service/product is Gallagher Marketplace.
Close sales opportunities by calling on executives and benefits decision makers at employers.
Make outbound cold-calls to assigned prospective clients and set appointments
Utilize Social Media selling activities to drive awareness and generate sales leads
Conduct demonstrations for prospective clients
Make follow-up calls to prospective clients from marketing campaigns, seminars, and conferences
Document all sales-related activities using Salesforce.com (SFDC)
Research leads and prospects in preparation for prospective client meetings
Manage and support special corporate and/or branch initiatives as called upon
Other duties as assigned
