As a Surface Technical Solutions Professional, you will be part of a team of specialized technical resources that support Microsoft sales teams in large sales and deployments of critical first party Microsoft hardware and software. You will be a deep technical expert on Microsoft Surface technologies and will play a pivotal role in Surface sales engagements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in customer facing roles, be a deep subject matter expert in hardware and operating systems and will have had success in delivering mobile solutions to Enterprise customers.

Role responsibilities:

•Provide deep subject matter expertise on Surface devices, Surface accessories, 3rd party accessories and Microsoft Windows operating systems in mobile scenarios and how these all come together to solve enterprise mobility needs across security, management, productivity and apps.

•Work closely in conjunction with Microsoft Surface sellers to support them and drive the largest and most complex Surface deals to successful outcomes to achieve Surface business goals.

•Remove Surface specific technical sales blockers escalated by Microsoft Surface sellers.

•Drive proof of concepts and pilots for the highest priority, largest and most complex Surface deals ensuring successful outcomes in partnership with Microsoft Surface sellers. Work closely with early adopter customers to capture feedback and insights in advance of broad distribution.

•Provide leadership on Surface in technical and seller communities within Microsoft and our key partners.

•Provide feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering on current and future product requirements including customer impact and communicate competitive intelligence from the field.

Requirements:

•5+ years of management and success in managing technical resources in complex selling processes where necessary, managing various customers’ stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions and projects

•5+ years design and/or implementation and/or support of hardware and operating system sales

•3+ years’ experience in driving successful device and mobility customer engagements with a focus on hardware, mobile devices and/or devices in enterprise scenarios

•Working knowledge of hardware and operating system areas such as security & mobile device management, business apps, mobile productivity and Skype

•Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Math highly desired, MBA

• Fluent German and English are a must have

• Fluent French is nice to have
