Based in Washington, DC, you will act as the front line of Customer Service for Bombardier on the MARC Train Service. You will be customer facing, located at the MARC Information Desk at Washington Union Station, and reports to the Customer Service Supervisor. CSR’s are responsible for all facets of customer service while passengers are in the gate area, up to and including the time that they board the train.

In your role you will:

  • Respond accurately and professionally to all passenger inquires and complaints, forwarding all complaints to the Customer Service Supervisor for proper dissemination and resolution;

  • Post track assignments and boarding times for all MARC trains, and directing the flow of traffic to each train;

  • Assist with crowd control or ticket inspection as needed;

  • Make public service announcements, including but not limited to informing passengers of delays or service disruptions;

  • Assist with data collection and management for customer service and operational functions;

  • Assist passengers with disabilities out to the trains utilizing the MARC cart;

  • Work closely with the Lost and Found Coordinator to handle the administration and return of lost items.


As our ideal candidate:

  • You hold a High School Diploma or the equivalent;

  • You cumulate a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a position with similar duties or in a customer service or communications position;

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.);

  • You must be available to work variable shift work. This position is subject to working weekend’s overnight shifts, and being on call;

  • Your English communication skills are excellent, both written and spoken.
