          The Development Coordinator, Major Gifts, works as a member of the Major Gift’s team and reports to the Associate Vice President of Annual, Major and Planned Giving. The Coordinator assists development officers in coordinating the development and production of significant gift proposals. H/she produces creative, effective and compelling proposals and is responsible for assisting in special initiatives in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects. H/she provides support to the senior leadership of the Foundation on special projects as necessary.

          Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Public Relations, Communications or related field. 1-3+ years of relevant experience. Experience with a non-profit organization a plus. Strong graphic design experience. Familiarity and understanding of fundraising processes a plus.

          Ability to take initiative, work independently, and think creatively to manage projects effectively. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details. Willingness to work collaboratively with a team to produce finished products. Ability to work effectively under time constraints. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of professionals: physicians, scientists, administrators, and development officers. Strong persuasive writing and editing skills. Strong research skills. Strong computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; High proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is particularly needed Strong organization skills.
