Northrop GrummanTechnology Servicessector is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting a Federal Government customer in Washington, DC.

We are looking for someone who is strong in functional / regression testing, has strong attention to detail, excellent communicator, and capable of managing multiple testing projects. In this role, you will review requirements, design test cases, develop test plans, perform functional and regression systems integration testing, and document defects. In order to be successful in this role, we expect that qualified candidates will have the following:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform requirements analysis to ensure that documented requirements are testable.

  • Design test cases and develop test plans to ensure optimal testing levels for applications.

  • Be able to support multiple test design, development, and execution efforts.

  • Document defects and articulate defects to developers.

  • Document SIT scripts, results, and approval based on current software development life cycles processes.

  • Committed to learning the customer’s business in order to ensure that the work products developed supports their mission.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Academic background: Position requires 5 years of testing experience with Bachelor's degree.

  • 5 years of experience in IT software quality assurance.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a USPS clearance.

  • Candidate must have worked at least one year of experience working for USPS IT specifically for the US Postal Inspection Service IT team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using HP ALM and/or Microsoft TFS.

  • Experience working with test automation tools and writing automation scripts.

  • Ability to adapt to new environments and assimilate information quickly.

  • Strong critical thinking, operations and systems analysis, and problem solving skills.

  • Experience working with Agile based development process.
