Description Hunton & Williams, LLP, a global law firm, is actively recruiting a Federal Affairs Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Regulated Industries and Government Relations practice in the Washington, DC office. This position maintains daily and long-term schedules, as well as acts as liaison for the team with both internal and external clients. Maintains the team’s schedule, travel plans, related records and databases. Coordinates activities in support of the firm’s political contribution program. Works within a team environment.
Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred.
Qualified candidates will have two years' administrative experience. Experience in a Congressional office a strong plus, or equivalent experience in an advocacy consulting firm, law firm or professional services firm. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Other Minimum Qualifications Include: Accurate typing, word processing skills and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation and use of grammar must be of high quality. Must have strong organizational skills, exercise attention to detail and exhibit exceptional verbal communication and listening skills. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above, with or without reasonable accommodation.
