Primary Job Function:

The Project Manager, Information Security Portfolio Management is responsible for gathering and consolidating the future demand for all Information Security Risk Management (ISRM) initiatives. The role will also facilitate the prioritization process and allocation of IT budgets to individual programs and projects for ISRM organization. Key responsibility includes supporting senior-level decision making by ensuring timely and consistent communication to stakeholders on progress, changes, and impact on following portfolio components:

  • Facilitating program and project review to reflect senior-level support, leadership, and key decisions.

  • Developing a consistent risk framework and scorecard for use by projects including project delivery risk and the enterprise risk that each project intends to mitigate upon implementation.

  • Monitoring and controlling project performance.

  • Assist with prioritization and governance framework for all ISRM program initiatives.

The Portfolio Manager also owns the project management methodology for all projects across ISRM as well as collaboration with Demand Portfolio Management office on process adoption and improvements. Responsible for development of a consistent Portfolio Management process for ISRM, aligned with broader Abbott PMO function and integrated with BSS and IS areas.

Decisions: Makes decisions that impact projects or Departments. Influences or has final decision authority for project level, budget and activities.

Business Impact and Risk: $0- $5MM in business financial impact. Important to business run. Division affected

Minimum Education:

Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline: At least 6 yrs.’ experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing projects

Minimum Experience / Training Required:

At least 6 yrs.’ experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing projects.
