Job Description

Lead and manage all aspects of safety, quality and production, on 2nd shift, for a 24/5, cGMP, print packaging manufacturer. Lead and direct 2nd shift employees to work safely, produce high quality output and optimize production performance, schedules, material usage and manpower assignments. Continually improve operational methods, processes and performance across all operations on 2nd shift. Conduct performance reviews, maintain reports, records and production documentation, as required.

Required Skills

  • Drive safety and quality first culture.

  • Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.

  • Ensure all employees to follow the requirements of cGMP and documented ISO processes.

  • Resolve daily safety, quality, and production concerns.

  • Lead quality corrective and prevention action efforts with 2nd Shift employees.

  • Administer attendance program.

  • Perform personnel productivity reviews with hourly shift employees.

  • Conduct weekly toolbox or stand-up meetings, with shift employees.

  • Collaborate with 1st shift area managers to address daily requirements for quality, production & staffing and partner with 3rd shift supervisor to ensure smooth transition from 2nd to 3rd shift.

  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

OTJ-MAN

Required Experience

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; some college or trade school preferred.

  • Previous experience or work in a printing environment.

  • 2-5 years demonstrated ability to lead or supervise others.

  • Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and production reporting experience).

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
