Handles the daily operations of the Residency Office. Interprets and communicates policies and procedures of Cleveland Clinic Florida and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation as it pertains to Graduate Medical Education. Provides administrative support to department. Tracks, documents and reports on educational activities for residents, for the purpose of meeting board certification requirements, meeting national program accreditation requirements, verifying medical licensure and hospital privileges documents, the proper payment from government reimbursement agencies, admission to the National Board of Examination. Supports the Director of Graduate Medical Education. Acts as supervisor when needed.
Handles the daily operations of the Residency Office.
Provides support for, and assists the Residency Program Director in the design, implementation and management of administrative/academic operations for the Residency Program.
Coordinates the activities of the Residency Office.
Acts as advisory/consultant to the Chief Resident, if applicable to program.
Coordinates and monitors all aspects of the Residency Review Committee's re-accreditation for the Residency Training Program.
Handles both internal and RRC program reviews.
Tracks, documents and reports on educational activities for residents, for the purpose of meeting board certification requirements, meeting national program accreditation requirements, verifying medical licensure and hospital privileges documents, the proper payment from government reimbursement agencies, admission to the National Board of Examination, and complying with policies and procedures of Cleveland Clinic Florida and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Division of Education.
Interprets and communicates policies and procedures of Cleveland Clinic Florida and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation as it pertains to Graduate Medical Education.
Oversees and coordinates annual orientation and graduation activities for the Program's Residents.
Administers, proctors and tracks results of yearly in-training exams. Coordinates the annual clinical competence exam, tracks and analyzes the results of annual Board Certifying Exams, if applicable to program.
Plans, implements and oversees the recruitment process, including responding to all inquiries for application materials, maintains computer database.
Screens applications, organizes and actively participates in residency interviews and selection process.
Submits final rank to NRMP (National Resident Matching Program).
Develops, implements and manages the writing and revision of recruitment materials.
Coordinates and oversees all functions of data entry personnel, if applicable to office.
Utilizes current technical information to ensure that the Residency Office is up to date and complies with computerized surveys generated by the ACGME, AMA, NRMP, Board, CAP and any other organizations which required technical documentation.
Maintains working relationships with the Graduation Medical Education Office and the Residency Office at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, to remain complaint with all necessary requirements for all program residents and all Cleveland rotators (including appointment processes and visa issues).
Coordinates, development and maintenance of yearly master schedule and monthly rotations for all residents and all rotators from The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Prepares and maintains the policy and procedure manuals for the Residency Program.
Implement evaluation systems for program curriculum, resident performance and staff teaching performance and maintains database and tracking system.
Assists and provides back up support for all resident and fellowship positions.
Assists and provides back up support for all visiting physicians and medical students from various organizations.
Provides general support for the Director, Graduate Medical Education as needed.
Assists with planning and organizing the Graduation function and Research Week activities and the annual institutional orientation of incoming clinical residents/fellows.
Handles pre-employment physicals, ACLS training and welcome reception. Assists with annually revisions of the Graduate Physicians Manual, institutional accreditation and re-accreditation by the ACGME.
Assists with screening, interviewing and selection of individuals for open positions within the department of GME.
Other duties as assigned.
Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Familiar with ACGME requirements.

- Minimum two years working in Medical Education.
Essential Duties: This position requires verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff, residents, students, visitors and coworkers. Numerical ability to prepare reports and other expenses reports. The ability to retrieve and communicate information verbally and in writing is essential. A professional demeanor is required. The ability to maintain detailed records and confidentiality of information is a must.
Physical Duties: This position requires physical work, lifting a maximum of 25 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing 12 pounds frequent walking, sitting, bending, reaching and standing, etc. Visual acuity is required. Talking and/or hearing are required to give directions, instructions and explanations to staff and resident necessary.
Working Conditions: The employee in this position spends 100% of the time in air-conditioned office environment.
