The Settlements core processing technology group is looking for a strong hands-on Java/Unix/Oracle/DB2 developer with 5 years of experience. The candidate must be able to work under pressure while being responsible for the design, development, deployment, and support the suite of applications under Settlements core processing. Prior knowledge/work experience on the BPS/A (Brokerage processing service advantage) is plus for the candidate. Candidate must be a team player, and also be able to work independently under tight deadlines. The candidate must be eager to learn and have the ability to quickly pickup new technologies. Strong communication is a must as the position requires interfacing with various user groups and other technology teams across the globe.
5 years programming with Oracle or equivalent relational database
Strong fundamental understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Strong fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms
Knowledge and experience working within a Unix/Linux Environment
Knowledge and experience working with messaging and file transfers (MQ,NDM, SFTP etc)
Knowledge and experience with scripting languages (shell, perl, etc)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Strong domain knowledge within the Securities Processing / Financial Industry
