Diagnostics Instrument Systems Technician (Job Number: 010854W-01)
DuPont Nutrition & Health is seeking an Instrument Technician to be cross-trained to support its Diagnostics Integrated Operations and Supply Chain facilities at the Boulden Circle Distribution Center in New Castle, DE.
Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing routine maintenance and repair of diagnostic instruments.
Computer support including hardware repair/modifications, software validation, and system troubleshooting.
Testing and qualifying instruments.
Preparing instruments for customer delivery.
Participating in continuous improvement activities to increase the quality and productivity of the operations.
Working in a safe and effective manner.
The Instrument Technician will be a member of the Integrated Operation team, focused on the following:
BAX X5 instrument support
BAX Q7 instrument support
BAX Classic instrument support
Instrument software development
Instrument computer system upgrades
Customer technical support
To be considered for this position, you must have the following:
AS Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering
3+ years working in an IT environment or in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Ability to Write SOP’s
Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Capability to manage by influence, building persuasive arguments based on logic, data and the objective merits of the situation.
Ability to recommend and introduce changes with a Continuous Improvement mindset toward productivity, costs, yield improvements, etc; Being proactive by taking action before being asked; Question the way things are done; Work with colleagues in a respectful and caring manner.
The following additional skill sets are preferred by the site:
Demonstrated work experience in Diagnostics Operations/processes (as noted above).
Continuous Improvement, Lean, DPS experience.
Basic power wiring experience.
Experience with waste management procedures.
