Customer Service is seeking a self-motivated individual to approve and prepare Military Spares and Repair Pricing Proposals in compliance with Government regulations, UTC Policies and UTAS Pricing Procedures. The primary focus of this position is to work closely with various functional areas to include Contracts, Program Management, and Finance Teams in approving / preparing new business and follow-on proposals to the US Government and non-US Government customers. In this role, you will also engage in the preparation, coordination, and support of various audit activities along with working / interfacing with proposal teams during customer price negotiations. This position will also provide you the opportunity to expand upon / develop your supervisory skills through coaching and leading others within the department on workload prioritization and talent development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop pricing strategy to build a winning pricing proposal that incorporates financial objectives and is fully compliant with FAR/TINA, CAS and company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure that proposals meet the definition of an adequate proposal per FAR guidelines.

  • Supporting the customer evaluation/fact-finding phase and negotiations while operating as the pricing lead.

  • Read and analyze the Request for Proposal (RFP) to determine customer requirements.

  • Obtain, review, and compile the detailed estimates (labor, Other Direct Costs (ODCs), material, subcontractors).

  • Generate detailed pricing utilizing the estimates, pricing model, proposal structure, and pricing strategy to comply with various customer requirements.

  • Provide input and review of the price volume to ensure that it is fully compliant with the RFP requirements, FAR/TINA, CAS and company policies and procedures.

  • Interface with DCAA / DCMA to provide supporting data and justification during audit.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A working knowledge of FAR, CAS and TINA requirements

  • Prior supervisory experience

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills

  • Ability to interface professionally with various functional areas at all levels of the organization

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines with competing workload demands

  • Ability to work and interact with all levels of organizational structure across multiple departments including internal and external customers in a complex business environment.

  • Highly organized to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Superior experience organizing, leading and working with and within teams to meet pre-defined objectives and schedules – a good team player.


5-10+ years work experience

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel

Self-motivated, able to work independently and meet proposal deadlines

Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
