Experian is seeking an experienced Account Executive to generate revenue growth for Experian’s solutions with new and existing accounts in the Credit Union industry. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in meeting aggressive growth goals and proactively uncovering sales opportunities for marketing, risk, analytic, fraud and software solutions within this industry. A demonstrated understanding of risk management challenges and growth demands within the industry is critical.

Major Job Functions

Business Development — Be driven with a hunter mentality to identify and close new business opportunities within existing accounts and new logo prospects. Utilize your network, social media, and industry forums to form new relationships and uncover opportunities. Drive opportunities to close.

Consultative Selling — Earn the role of trusted advisor by demonstrating a thorough understanding of Experian’s analytic solutions and matching these solutions to client needs and critical industry challenges. Provide guidance to internal teams that work with you to develop and implement effective solutions (across risk, fraud, analytics, scoring and marketing areas). Demonstrate familiarity and comfort with executive selling situations. Be comfortable with ROI based sales.

Sales Planning — Responsible for thoroughly understanding business challenges facing the credit unions in your territory. Contribute and participate in sales and account planning efforts with team members who work cooperatively with you in your territory. Collaborate with internal marketing, analytics and technology teams to communicate requirements and opportunities for the industry and targeted accounts.

Sales Growth — Have a personal accountability for closing new revenue opportunities and meeting revenue expectations. Be responsible for providing accurate forecasting and financial information as required. Effectively coordinate internal resources to support solution design, proposal development, pricing, contract negotiations, and implementation of solutions. Document your activity.


  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred

  • Background in credit or information industry, with experience selling analytic solutions strongly preferred

  • Proven strategic-level sales and business development background

  • Ability to drive personal results in a collaborative, team selling environment

  • Experience in managing senior level relationships extending to the C-level

  • Strong consultative sales and negotiation skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; articulate and persuasive presence and speaking experience required

  • Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills. Familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred

  • Willingness to travel
